Dancer and choreographer Walid Aouni makes his debut in the group of Maurice Béjart where he is rapidly noticed. Today he heads the modern dance group of the Cairo Opera House.

Foundation of the troop "Tanit Danse Théâtre" in Bruxelles, Belgium. |

| 1990 à 1991 | Directs two ballets for the Cairo Opera "Le rythme des générations" and "Trois Nuits du Sphinx". Directs "Zanqt al Namous" for the Tunisian ballet. |
| 1993 | Appointed by the Egyptian ministry of culture to found the first danse – modern theatre troop at the Cairo Opera , the "Cairo Opera Dance Theatre". |
| 1994 | Directs "Les Fouilles d’Agatha". |
| 1995 | Directs "Les éléphants se cachent pour mourir"and the egyptian trilogy "Coma" about Naguib Mahfouz. |
| 1996 | Directs "Dernier entretien" about Taheya Halim. |
| 1997 à 1999 | Directs "Désert de Chadi Abdel Salam" followed by "Au début était la danse", "Prova", "Le chant des baleines" and "L’épouvantail". |
| 2000 et 2001 | Directs "Shéhérazade – Korsakov", "Les Secrets de Samarcande" and the first installement of "Gilet de Sauvetage". He receives distinctions and decorations from France, Belgium, Japan, Egypt, Lebanon, Jordan. |
| 2001 | Choreography of the opera "Aida" by Verdi for les Arènes de Genève. |
| 2003 | Choreography of the opera "Clara Schuman" for the Cairo Opera. |
